Mr Taylor, Cleveland
Background
Scott Taylor was a professional National Hunt Jockey until he suffered a life changing injury in 1999, at which time the Injured Jockeys Fund (IJF) became involved.
The IJF were looking for a company that could provide an accessible bathroom that met all of Scott’s requirements and were put in touch with Easibathe by an occupational therapist.
Project
After the IJF had obtained quotes and planned the work, Scott became very involved in the process of planning his bathroom.
Easibathe worked with him to create 3D plans to help him visualise the end result. The job consisted of an Easibathe Refresh (wheelchair accessible) washbasin fitted on a rise and fall bracket so that it could be lowered easily for Scott and also used by non-wheelchair users.
Other features of the new bathroom include a Clos-o-mat automatic toilet, fold down support rails and a specialist bath with a powered seat, which includes a leg lift.
Outcome
The bathroom was fitted within a week, meaning minimum disruption for Scott and his family. Scott made all the decisions about what he wanted and as a result he is incredibly proud of his new bathroom. The IJF was involved in obtaining quotations and facilitating the work and arranging for some funding towards the project.

Testimonial
“Scott is incredibly proud of his home, and it was important to him that the new bathroom fitted his requirements but also was in keeping with the rest of the house. He liked the team of people who were involved in this installation and the service provided by Easibathe was second to none. I think the bathroom is fantastic but more importantly Scott is thrilled with the finished result.”
